Dear Sarah,
I must be quick. They've only turned away for a moment, and they get angry when they find me at the computer.
My captors are treating me well (no obvious cursing), and assure me they mean me no harm. I don't think they intend to let me go just yet - at least not until they can find a replacement. They realized, you see, that I wasn't in use at the moment, and seized the opportunity. The mother is tired with me around, and is sometimes cranky, but the kids seem to like me.
Don't stop searching for me, Sarah! Someday my captors will drop their guard. Perhaps if I'm sneaky enough I can arrange to trick them into spending a morning web-searching for living room color combinations. Then, I'll make my move!
Oh, no - she sees me! Must run. I will return, Sarah. Have faith!
Love always,
Routine.

You should see me beam, Steph! There is a huge, huge grin on my face that isn't going away.
I'm glad Routine didn't just abandon me, but was pressed into service for a wonderful family. That makes the pain of her loss that much easier to bear...
Sarah
