Well, what did we do today?
Today Mommy was mostly a big pregnant lump on the couch. In the morning the boys made lightsabers out of Tinkertoys. I put on the John Williams and they played lightsaber fight.
After that Connor made different kinds of airplanes out of Tinkertoys, and worked to figure out why, if he used the same number of pieces to build two different airplanes, one was heavier than the other.
Connor played a computer game in which he created and matched patterns, spelled words, and put story pictures in the correct order. We used math and calendar skills to figure out how many days to Aidan's birthday, to Connor's birthday, to their party.
We piled on the bed and read stories for awhile. We watched a lady give birth naturally on TLC. We worked some more on Connor's thank-you letter to Grandma and Grandpa.
Susan Wise Bauer's activity guide to go along with "Story of the World" arrived today, and Mommy drooled over it.
Aidan painted a picture and learned how to slice cheese. He made a big "spiderweb" out of yarn and pretended to be a huge, poisonous spider (out of the Hobbit).
We were supposed to have a playdate with a friend today, but that did not work out.
It's Hobbit time now
