Well, some "school" happened today after all. Connor and I read about Fire from a book about the elements, and learned about how early humans viewed fire. We also learned about volcanoes, and some myths about how mankind first gained control of fire. We did an experiment to show how carbon dioxide puts out fires (also covering what carbon dioxide is and how we make it).

Then all the kids got a health/science lesson as we visited Mommy's midwife for a prenatal appointment.

And that was it for the day. A very light day. But they will be for awhile. Tonight we'll read more of "The Hobbit" for a bedtime story.
