Well, now I'm a week behind. We can see where this is heading :)
I know what we've done in total, but not certain about day-to-day. We have painted our volcano, but have not yet made it erupt. We have drawn and colored pictures for the last history narrations. Connor is counting to 20 well now, and has taught himself how to count by 2s. We've done several pages in the math workbook, and the phonics workbook, and Connor has read two Bob Books to me. We did no schoolwork on Saturday or Sunday - Saturday we had their joint birthday party - but unfortunately did little to nothing on Monday and Tuesday as well, due to illness.
Let's see ... yesterday we explored a new library. Yesterday's math was a dice game, and the day before it was the Space Race game (Connor is getting really good at reading 3-digit numbers). Connor has spontaneously looked at a book on the Vikings and drawn a picture of a Viking battle; he got interested in Yugoslavia, and colored a Yugoslavian flag.
We finished The Hobbit and Jeff has started reading them A Wizard of Earthsea. I was able to check out Mr. Bach Comes to Call and we're listening to that in the car. Connor seems to enjoy it, but then he likes classical music. I can't tell about Aidan.
Today I read them a chapter of Black Ships Before Troy which I think Connor will really like. He's already made one stellar observation: when Eris threw the apple into the wedding feast, Connor decided that they should give it to the bride. Now, does that make sense, or what? At any wedding, isn't the bride the fairest?
Math today was a counting review, plus work on identifying half and writing 1/2. Easy for Connor. They played with pattern blocks. Connor read me the last in our set of Bob Books. Need to get the next set. His reading is improving; I am certain I was pushing him too fast before. We also read part of a biography of Chuck Yeager today, by popular demand ;-)
At some point over the weekend, when we were all sick, we went over how viruses act in our bodies, how to keep ourselves healthy, etc.
That's all I can think of for now. I think there's more, but that's all I can think of for now.
