Just a quick note about things we did this weekend: Connor worked both Saturday and Sunday on his thank-you letter to Grandma and Grandpa Starr for his Christmas presents. I am writing out what he wants to say, and he is copying it. I will scan it in when he's done.
Today we caught "Clash of the Titans" on TV, and since we have lately read some Greek myths, I let the kids watch. They loved it, and spent the rest of the afternoon hunting Medusa with their magic shields and swords. Maybe we'll do some Greek history this week ...
A drive by the FAA building at DFW sparked a conversation about who the FAA is, what they do, how they do it, what happens when an airplane falls out of the sky, how do they fix airplanes that fall out of the sky, etc. etc.
Aidan learned about plumbing as he watched (and helped) Daddy fix the toilet.
And to round out the weekend, Connor asked Daddy what taxes are. Daddy explained them at great length.
More reading of the Hobbit on both nights, as well as listening to The Lord of the Rings on CD.
